ElectrifyROI publishes free, independent calculators for home electrification decisions: heat pumps, EVs, and solar panels. The site is supported by display advertising. We do not sell equipment, accept paid placements, or generate sales leads for installers.

Why this exists

Most calculators for these decisions are operated by installers or lead-generation companies whose revenue depends on the consumer deciding to buy. Their assumptions are tuned to make the numbers look attractive, in ways that are difficult for a non-expert to detect or verify. ElectrifyROI exists because we believe people making multi-thousand-dollar decisions deserve numbers that are tuned to be accurate instead.

Our revenue comes from display advertising, not sales referrals. That means our calculators do not need to push you toward a purchase - they just need to be correct. If a heat pump does not pay back under your specific electricity rates and climate, the calculator will tell you so plainly. If an EV costs more over fifteen years than your current gas car, that is what you will see.

How the calculators work

Every input is yours to change. We set reasonable defaults, but you can override your electricity rate, fuel price, equipment cost, rebates, and inflation assumptions to reflect your actual situation. All of the math runs locally in your browser - no data is sent to our servers. The formulas and energy constants we use are fully documented on the methodology page so you can audit every step.
